The GPS really works !!

Well..for starters ..i didnt think much of the GPS system.Heck..i dint even think that it'd work in india !! But the most amazing part is that it does work ....and works superbly !! I used it yesterday to track a bike ride from kothrud to koregaon park (in pune )...and mind you ...the N95 was in my pocket all the time ..and yet the device performed extremely well and didnt even drop the signal once. I suggest you set the maps to satellite mode for the best effect.













Awesome aint it ?? The exact route i took , my highest and lowest speeds , even the highest and lowest altitudes , average speeds etc. WOW !! Who ever imagined a phone would be capable of doing all this someday ?? :oD

Fun At Work

We had a Diversity fair at work today. There were different themes for each department. Our team decided to go with the "caribbean flava" theme..considering the world cup and summer ..we thought that our USP would be chilled mocktails and one or two caribbean dishes. All of us dressed up like ruggamuffin rastafarians and pumped up the volume to the best of "bob marley and the wailers".Needless to say ...everyone lode the mocktails ..and our stall was a hot favourite. He he he .. and i got to play the part of a sexy (okay..I might be bragging a bit !!) Bartender..dishing out chilled mocktails for all the chickas.

Woooo Hooo... I Love parties @ WrK !!

My Thoughts About Bush ...!!

We Be Burnin' ......

heyo...

Firstly ..I'd like to apologise to all my imaginary fans out there for not blogging much lately. You see..i really do feel like blogging sometimes...but my laziness beats me to it ...And i end up doing something more productive like mining my nose for gold ..or staring at the weird stains in the commode. Anyways ...its been a very busy month otherwise (hence ...i love to laze around whenever i get a chance) . Joined a course in oracle apps...and its kinda like a 10-7 thing ...So that leaves me very little time for anything else. Watched a few good movies lately tho... You should watch these movies if you get the time ..

1. The departed : This movie is one of the best movie I've watched in the recent months. The slick direction by Scorsese and the awesome acting by Matt Damon and Leonardo really steal the show. The movie score is so catch too.This movie left me so shaken ..that i was literally shivering after i exited the theater.A roller coaster ride is what it is ....

2. Accepted : This movie made on the lines of American pie is about a teen who gets rejected from all the colleges he applies to and then ends up making a fake college just to fool his folks. A feel good movie with a lot of funny characters and one liners. Typical run of the mill teen movie where one passionate speech in the ending changes everything . Nevertheless...pretty watchable ..if you've got nothing else to do.

As for other news...i really don't know whats with people when it comes to riots. Referring to the riots in Maharashtra yesterday ...I fail to understand how burning up private and government property will actually compensate for someone having desecrated a statue. These rioters need to think logically rather then employing such tactics..and causing so much worth of damage to the public at large ..who have absolutely nothing to do with this incident. These things really make me seethe with anger sometimes...but who am i kidding ...i get to stay at home n relax ..cos there's a curfew outside.
Aaaah ..the good life !! :)

Just got a bit of free time on my hands so decided to let ya all know whats going on in my crappy life. Been doing nothing much over the past few days apart from watching movies n drinking. Yeah...
watched 3 movies yesterday ...

1.Thank you for smoking
WOW !! this movie rocks. Is this how the cigarette industry actually manages to sell us those poison sticks ?? The sleek smart talking Eckhart is a genius.A must watch ...

2.The hills have eyes
GAK !! statutory warning : do not watch this flick on a full stomach ...unless you want to vomit your guts out on the floor. This is one of the goriest films i've ever seen... and the most unique part of this film is much of the action takes place in broad daylight ...in the middle of the desert... and its still frikkin scary !!

3.The Sentinel
Okay...there's a mole inside the secret service ..and its Micheal Douglas and keifer Sutherland who're gonna save the day by flushing em out good. But after a series of secret affairs and framing up's ..things get all awry..and thats when the action begins. A typical run of the mill secret service movie. Ho Hum.. watch it only if you hav'nt got anything else to do.

Apart from the movies I've been spending much of my time staring at the ceiling and dreaming about a harem full of Lebanese dancers. No seriously...I'm just getting the much needed rest after weeks of shitty work !! Will be back once the maggots inside my brain vanish. Till then ... Peace out.

Love is not a game for two...

I know i shouldnt be day dreaming about relationships just before my exams are gonna start...but i just couldnt help but write this. I read this really sweet article about the things guys do when they are in love and when they are in a relationships..and it really set me thinking. Now i'm a person who's had his fair share of relationships...and each one has been a learning experience. Some ended with a mutual understanding ..but others were just plain bitter.But The scars eventually healed and i did manage to love again.but its not the heartbreak that i'm worried about..
..its the feeling of being in love. Somehow i feel i've actually lost that ability to be "in love" and stay there for the time it matters.Its something like the 7 year itch...a midlife crisis..call it what you may..but the fact remains that i really dont know if i'll ever be able to truly experience that feeling of being in love again.The easiest part is the first few days when you're attracted to someone and all out to please her.. then after that ..things just take a downward spiral.I dont know why i feel that way. Is it really my fault ? Or is it just human nature to get bored of things once you've attained them ..or if you've had too much of them ?I wish i could be teleported back in time ...when i was innocent and young...and learning to love for the first time... away from the heartbreaks ...and away from the pain.

Busy Busy Busy.... !!

I know its been such a long time since i've updated my blog... and lot of you guys out there are just dying for their daily dose of laxative. But fear not ..it is not a writers block that keeps me from posting .. rather...it is that dreadful thing called "exams" , which pops up its ugly head twice a year. I shall be back as soon as i have vanquished this terrible demon. Till then...do pray for me ..so that i shall return a victor.
